It makes room for Chuck D to be socially conscious and for Digital Underground to be comical. Hip Hop makes room for Vanilla Ice, Marky Mark, Naught By Nature, Kriss Kross, Paperboy, and Weird AL. It makes room for west coast slang, east coast shine, Houston’s drawl, and the Atlanta slurr. The Migos have carved their space. If you’ve never been to the south and can’t understand their accents, is that on them, or on you? I’m a nerd by day so lemme drop some nerd knowledge like Method Man in Belly: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” – Arthur C Clarke. What does this have to do with Hip Hop? You didn’t understand Bone Thugs or Twista but didn’t have beef. Heck you probably barely get Treach’s bars. He said so himself…

Sidebar – the same anti-now, 90s Hip Hop lovers were probably ahead of Shaq rocking Tims and a bubble jacket IN THE CARIBBEAN in 90º weather at some party in the 90s. Go figure.
